BANNED FOR LIFE from the Thibodaux's Fireman's Fair!!
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
I want my story to start at the very beginning of the day when the idea and my intentions first started about what I wanted to do. I had gone to the fair the day before on Saturday May 5th and had such an AWESOME time dancing and taking pictures with so many people. I was so impressed by the way everything was laid out, the groundwork and the concession stains the stage area. I had the privilege of three police officers wanting to take a picture with me, this is so AWESOME when a police officer comes up and ask me to take a picture with them. Police officers, fireman and our military a special breed of people. " HOME OF THE FREE BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE" These people are ready to help you 365 days out of the year 24 hours a day.
Back to the story, got side tracked. Saturday people at the fair said you should start charging for taking pictures, I told them, I do not charge for putting a smile on someone's face. Several people wanted to give me money at this fair and I refused it. Well, what this person said stuck in my mind and I thought to myself what if I could come up with a safe way that I could help and make it legit so people know I am not taking their money for myself. So I set up myself with a 1 gallon plastic bag with the words on the bag " Thibodaux's Fireman Donation" . The people who would donate would take a picture of the money that they were donating and I also would take a picture of the donation, a double check method to secure the funds. Note, I have refused money from many many people that have take pictures with me.
Sunday morning I made a little speech, posting it to my Facebook and putting the first $20 in my donation bag. I was so excited about my plan, people at the fair could donate showing their donation and getting recognition of it on my Facebook page. So, I get to the fairground and have to park at the main road, no problem I have my bicycle in the back of my truck. So I walked around with my little donation bag with no donations yet. The band was getting ready to start and he saw my donation bag and enquired so I told him and he announced what it was about.
I very seldom ask someone to dance or give women compliments, reason being a jealous boyfriend or husband got me kicked out of the Rain Frog Festival for giving his woman a compliment, the man actually attacked me and his girl pulled him off of me. He went complain and got me kicked out. Back to the fair, It was not long that the music started and a beautiful little Earth Angel came up and started dancing with me. People caught on and started donating. After several dances I had to go to my truck so I get to the entrance gate where my bicycle is and go to my truck parked by the main road on the far end. I am on my way back and am flagged down by a young man who want to make a donation. So I tell him he has to take a picture showing his donation and we do so. He donated $20. I am so glad this is such a great idea, people will get facial recognition for their donations with the donated amount so no one would accuse me of taking this money.
I passed at the entrance gate now three times and told the officer how my collection is going with no warning that what I was doing was illegal. I walked all around the fairground with no one approaching me stating that I could not do what I was doing. The band singer announced in detail about the procedure that photos would be taken of the money with photo ID and money, no one at the fair came up and said I could not do what I was doing.
Back at the fairground it is announced that the auction is going on in the building in the back. So I say to myself maybe I can accution a picture with me with one of these doctors or lawyers. So I go to the auction building and talk to a person on the side and he informs me that these people are bidding thousands of dollars for items, I told him I understood and went back to the fairground.
It was just a short time from leaving the auction building that I was approached by several policeman that told me I had to leave. I told them that I could not leave till the person in charge of the fair came out and counted and collected the money. They were actually going to let me leave with the money I had collected.
The man in charge comes up and I try to explain several times about the money being collected and that he has to match the money collected to the pictures. The police officers knew what I was saying so I asked a police officer to explain what I was doing and he did. The man in charge looks at the pictures and the picture donations match up with the money. He than looks at what I am wearing and asked about why I was dressed that way. I told him this the way I dress that I purchased my shorts at Walmart, actually it was TJ Maxxs, better prices there girls, He grabbed the money from me and never told me thank you and said I was banned from coming to the fair and could not come back.
I wish he would have given me some options, like put on a full shirt or something. I felt so bad I was having such a good time. A tank top and blue jean shorts is not illegal. Look at all the pictures I took with so many people young and old they wanted to take a picture with me because I am different. I have never discriminated about someone who wanted to take a picture with me or come up to dance with me, rich or poor or well dressed or not I will take a picture with you and put a smile on both our faces and post it and if you want to dance to the music, awesome.
The man who kicked me out for my collection and his negative verbal comments on the way I dress, he had a lot on his plate this weekend. The auction that was going on where he was at was filled with people who were bidding thousands of dollars on items. This man is doing an awesome job for the fireman's fair, I just wish he would not have banned me for life. This is one of the best organized fairs I have ever been to. I pray that more people go next year. When you look at a Thibodaux Fireman you are looking at a hero, tell him thank you for his service and keep him in your prayer every day just like the police officers. Joelee's story!

Cliffs?
We saw this cat Sunday prancing around, thought it was one of those folks you see only for the fireman’s fair and Mardi Gras. After that they go crawl back under their rocks.

From his post? He attended the Fair and wanted to do his gig while also raising funds. He takes pictures with folks with the donations (A poor man's accounting method I guess). Claims he got no warning from Police. Attempts to give off a picture of himself for Auction but finds out no one would bid on his "picture" while other items were going for thousands. Police arrive with guy running fair, guy doesn't like his cloths or his approach and kicks him out for life.
And he calls everyone Little Earth Angel.

This woman's FB Comment about his DMs got me confused.

So I’m not condoning the message he sent to you AT ALL but who cares how he dresses? Furthermore, all of these people saying shite about him- you’ve never looked at porn or sent messages to someone (even if not propositioned? Again, not saying that is ok to cold message that to someone...but I know not all you ‘godly’ people are innocent of never talking dirty to someone, sending dick pics, dressing a certain way, or looking at porn. This doesn’t mean you ALL do it) Anyway, so now saying he was ok to approach someone like that but I doubt most of y’all are perfect and godly 100% of the time and you really shouldn’t judge someone for how they dress.
