Are you connected to the PD in Jennings?

In that they have pulled me over before, yes. Other than that, no real connections.

ETA- that and I dislike bad information, such as when an investigative journalist doesn't post sources and writes about 'facts' without providing them.

That is an incredibly "hopeful" take on the situation. If anything, the close proximity of all the victims should be a boon to the investigation rather than a hindrance.

I've heard from a few sources that the cop who is now dead was responsible for a few of the dead girls.

I wonder how many of these posters I know now...

Hell, I am wondering if I am related to half the O-T now!

Lots of family from Jennings and Welsh... How many of you remember the Jaenke BRIDGE... before the Jaenke CROSSING???

Members of my extended family own a lot of land in the Evangeline area... The land that time (and modern dentistry) forgot!

On topic, there was always talk of a cop or informant being guilty of those murders... I am sure it will all come out one day.

I have no idea if this is true and have nothing to back it up but my grandfather told me the first oil well in Louisiana was drilled on our families property in Evangeline

We REALLY might be related... I think that same claim was made by my great-grandfather or it might have been that he worked on it just before drilling his.

FYI, for those of you that didn't know what I was talking about, this engineering marvel was around until the late 80's or early 90's on the side of where the huge concrete overpass-bridge to Evangeline is now. It was scary as frick to cross in the later years!!!

My granddad worked in the Evangeline oilfield back when there were so many rigs you could step from the deck of one rig to another.

Old school oilfield trash

I was in Jennings this morning. Heard an interesting theory I'm not going to post for fear of retaliation.

Watched the video interviews with that Richard fella. He most certainly knows something, because he seems fairly certain that the murders are the work of more than one person. What does he know, how does he know it, and how come the investigation hasn't come forward to prove or disprove what he's saying?

Ever call that in to the tip line? If not, why?

I have also become a little obsessed with this too. I found this site with incidents compiled back to 2003 in the Jennings, Jeff Davis area. It is from 2011.

You're safe here bro. Chicken would never roll over on you.

I am in br and this is total speculation.... But how far was the guy that killed Mickey Schunick (no idea how to spell her name) from Jennings? Is St Landry a long distance?

Jennings is on the edge of Jefferson Davis Parish. You have to go through Acadia and Lafayette parishes (~ 45 miles of interstate 10) and then North on 49 to St Landry Parish which sits on top of Lafayette parish (~10-15 miles to the southern most point of St Landry). So it's about 50-60min to get in to St Landry. WHERE he is in St Landry, I do not know.

After reading all this crap, I can t believe that if it was a least partially true, that the LSP and FBI wouldn't decsend on that area and open a big can of whoop arse.
