What are they doing, sitting in a parking lot? Not really a group kinda thing for me. I get why people think they are douchebags.

But I really don't care what people think about me...i guess they think i'm a doucebag too when they see me driving to / from work in my impractical vehicle with the top down enjoying my surroundings while they are reclining in their hermetically sealed rolling status symbols.

No one who owes money on their Jeep is serious into off-roading. Just because serious off readers like a torque converter doesn't and shouldn't affect 99.9% of Jeep owners. Because you make the same transmission choice doesn't make you any more serious into off roading. Race cars have automatics too, does t mean everyone who owns a sports car is race car driver. Manuals are better for most everyone...

Nothing covered in these two trail books is considered serious...

I guess I am an uber-douchebag. I have a vette (z06), a lifted F250 (no truck nuts or stacks) and an 18 Rubicon Unlimited.

Well one of those douches is my disabled grand son. He can't talk and can't enjoy many things. He is a teen now who should be getting a vehicle to drive but that is impossible. He love s to ride around in the golf cart so much that they bought a jeep to drive him around .

For sure, but never rock climb before. Just not my thing. Rooting in the mud and making trails.

Gaston called them douche in his op. I am an a tablet and can not do quotes to reply to. That is why I used the term. I was annoyed he lumped the whole group as douches when in fact some are disabled children. Obviously I would never call my grandson that.

So I was taking up for my family. They bought the jeep specifically for him. No other reason. They are the most wonderful parents.

Defeats the purpose for me. I wouldn't buy a new Jeep because the first thing I'm doing is pulling into my garage and turning wrenches to mod it.

Not much on investments, I guess. There is no better resale value than a Jeep. I have made money on every single one I have ever purchased. Will probably make between 3 and 5k on the one I have now. I’d did, however, have to invest 150$ for a clean, wax and rug job, so I’ll have to reduce that accordingly.
