This was a model that had a HEMI V8 engine that was discontinued a couple of years ago, and consumers weren’t excited about the turbocharged 3 liter engine that replaced it.

Stellantis proving that they don’t understand the American market very well.

quote:

Jeep may be simplifying its lineup and trimming one of its most expensive vehicles. A new report says the brand will end Wagoneer production at the end of the 2025 model year.

quote:

Michael Bettenhausen, chairman of the Stellantis National Dealer Council, confirmed the news to industry publication Automotive News.

Jeep attempted to move into the luxury market over the past decade, introducing its first six-figure models and trimming smaller, less expensive models from the list.

But America proved reluctant to buy a six-figure Jeep. Then-CEO Antonio Filosa said late last year that Jeep would work to lower prices and simplify its portfolio. Filosa has since taken over as CEO of Jeep’s parent company, Stellantis, giving him even more influence over brand strategy.

There were some really bad Wagoneers (lemons) produced in the past few years. I know 2 people who bought them and forced a return.

Would you pay 100k for a Jeep?

Imagine spending that much money on an oversized jeep.

Idiots and their money.

That’s the problem. Almost nobody did.

There is a 2023 model still on the lot near me that’s $20k off sticker. It’s a 2 year old “new” SUV.

Can't speak from experience, but anyone I know with a jeep in the past 10 years spends a lot of time and money getting them fixed.

With Toyota abandoning the V8 for the V6 hybrid(sorry tundra baws) GM is the best available.

Who would want a Jeep V8 with Stellaris support?

Sounds like a nightmare in the making

Idiots who are fooled by styling and lux interior. Same for the idiots who buy Range Rovers. My 4runner "Ronnie" laughs at these vehicles.

Pffft....

I wouldn't pay a 100k for anything Stellantis makes.

A Wrangler is a decent product, and well-priced.

Rams are ok, but dont hold value like the competition.

Wranglers are real Jeeps and great vehicles but are still too expensive.

Not shocking. There are just better options at that price point.

I just went from a V8 lexus to the V6 hybrid and I have to admit, it's a pretty amazing setup. My LX is fast AF.

I bought a 2025 4-dr, 6 cylinder, brand new 38K, OTD. Hardtop, too.
Not bad for a decent vehicle.

Its not my DD, but they hold value extremely well and that normally-aspirated 6 is solid.

Crap wagon. We had a Grand Cherokee and loved it when it wasn’t broken. But wow what a pain it was.

Twin turbo 6 cyl is a better engine than any V8 in every measurable except durability and sound.

I prefer a NA V8 for those two reasons, but to argue it's a better engine performance wise is just not true
