You have to wonder how many people know to change things like diff or tranny fluid.

If they would start putting drain plugs on them, stock, more would. Even most driveway oil change guys don't change them.

One of my XJs is at 343K and runs like a top.

Dafuq. Jeeps don't come with diff plugs?

How are you supposed to change the fluid?

Pop it open(unbolt entire thing), not hard, but people would rather just have a drain plug like aftermarket.

Eta, you really should be doing this, so you can check your gears.

So you have to reseal the 3rd member after every diff change? What fricker came up with that shite.

No wonder people don't change their fluids regularly.

Much easier to change the whole rear end due to shitty maintenance practices

They took their minivan engine and gave it a slightly higher compression ratio to up the power and shoved it in the jeep.

Haha. My 04 Tahoe has 178,000 on it and has not had a single problem with it. Mechanic said I will easily hit 200k and if I really take care of it, barring any disaster it could hit 250k.

Jeep sucks

Our JKU moab edition barely got out of warranty and started having suspension issues and othe electrical problems. Traded it in. Excellent resale! Get out while you are ahead

I've got an 03 with 106k. No issues at all other than needing new brakes and common maintenance. Just changed the diff fluids and inspected all good to go
