nah...over 1000 hospital beds in the convention disagree with you

But if a huge portion of the local population already has it or has had it, then it doesn’t do much if anything.
Like Nola... the only place where hospitals may have needed extra help which was there if necessary.
So... lockdown not necessary.

Reduces spread
Doesn't reduce infections.
The eventual spread is the same, just on a slower trajectory.
The purpose of that being to prevent hospital overruns.

Agreed. They produce results though

I'm on mobile so not very pretty but he lied about Region 4 Increasing as well. At this point we ahould compile charts if every region in the state and share it across social media because many are naive to the flat out lies they are being told.
LDH Region 4
(Acadia, Evangeline, Iberia, Lafayette, St. Landry, St. Martin, Vermillion)

You realize Orleans and Jefferson numbers are almost identical right?

Eh. I put them together. It’s basically one metro area.

Beyond that, the same number will be infected, just at a slower pace.
It does not prevent infections.
It does not help to build herd immunity.
It is a stopgap that was created to buy time for a specific goal.
That is what is lost on people.
Once we obtain that goal, it serves no purpose and actually becomes detrimental.

Is that all of region 4 or just Laffy?

I’ll add that it was a stopgap not even needed for LA because it was too late for the specific area it was meant to help most. That’s my main point.

The vast majority of hospitalized COVID cases from Jefferson were hospitalized in NOLA hospitals.
At one point in late March, 66% of every hospitalized COVID patient in the state was in Ochsner Main Campus in New Orleans.
The entire reason for opening up the Convention Center was because New Orleans hospitals were on the brink of capacity.

How are you coming to this conclusion though?

We use the Nola address for "media"reasons. Its in JP though

West Jefferson and Baptist were never on the brink of capacity

So we had a contingency ready to go if needed. That’s not relevant? We don’t add those beds to the overall capacity?

It's the entire region, I put Lafayette in the header for people who didn't understand the LDH Region distinctions.

Beds without vents aren't particularly useful at the time yall are discussing.
