Mayor-President Josh Guillory
Is one of the biggest frauds there is in Louisiana politics. He voted for JBE after he was finished sky screaming about David Vitter and his hookers.
Guillory is the next Scott Angelle, always looking for an elective position to slither to like a snake in the grass.

What's with the fascination with JBE's attending West Point and being army officer?
It means nothing. shite, Adrian Perkins is a WP grad.

Make no mistake. Guillory has his political sights set high.

Guillory is not afraid to stir shite up. That part I like. He backed down from closing some barely used city rec centers on the dark side of town when the pressure built. That I did not like.

Wow Guillory I’m impressed that’s some straight fire right there

Or, and this is another possibility:
He, like many others, actually felt that JBE would lead and be effective regardless of his affiliation.
And he, like many others, were bamboozled by Ricardo.

It’s kind of weird how there is a historical lack of Cajun surnames in Louisiana politics and more specifically Louisiana governors. Let’s get some baws in there. That’s what La is lacking.

Bel Edwards is such a piece of shite.

If you can’t cut it as a trial lawyer or win a senate race, run for mayor on a conservative platform.

The fine print about JBE's candidacy for Governor was there for all to read, you just had to look at it and actually read it.
The fine print was as follows....
- JBE was endorsed by all the usual suspects that keep Louisiana shitty and have a vested interest in keeping it that way. We're talking about trial lawyers, the medicaid lobby, the sheriff's association, the nursing homes, teachers unions, state government employees. They wanted business as usual and JBE is giving it to them.
- JBE was the democrat party leader in the house of representatives and you cannot get that position without being an absolute party line hack that toes the party line, and that's not what you would call a moderate conservative blue dog democrat which is exactly what JBE lied to voters about being.
- JBE loves and absolutely adores the two most corrupt and destructive Governors in Louisiana history, Huey Long and Edwin Edwards and has modeled his own tenure as Governor after those two crooks. JBE even campaigned with Edwin twice in 2015 and 2019.
- JBE's voting record in the statehouse was to the left of the black caucus and was one of the most liberal ever in its history. It was nowhere near the conservative blue dog story he was selling.
- JBE voted for Obama and wanted Hillary Clinton to be POTUS and those two are pure leftist democrats. That alone is self explanatory.
The signs were there that JBE was an obvious leftist tax and spend control freak and voters chose to ignore them and now they're paying the price for it.
Look, a voter being hoodwinked by a politician is one thing but a political leader (In this case, Parish President) being hoodwinked is quite another and if you're not intelligent enough to size up another politician's candidacy, then you have no business being in elective office.
It's either that or Guillory is a RINO who doesn't regret his JBE vote and is just acting like an opportunist right now.

North Louisiana funds governors, so they get to say who runs. South Louisiana elects governors and gets to say who wins.
Evangeline/St. Landry Parish is the gateway between the two.
