Look, let’s simply nut up or shutup. How much you want to wager Biden does or doesn’t announce lockdowns this week?

If he does he will not be calling them lockdowns. He will demand that governors and mayors initiate mask mandates, social distancing protocols, say that in person learning should be put off for another month, ask that businesses allow workers that can work at home to stay at home, and stay at home as much as you personally can. Look what’s going on abroad if you doubt what I’m saying.

“Lockdown” is getting thrown around rather loosely.

So not a lockdown but just what we were doing in December?

They’re not going to put us in a full fledged lockdown where we don’t leave our houses for months, but they’re going to try to do it to the point where you can no longer properly socialize with people outside your household, to where for all intents and purposes it is a lockdown.

Thanks Steve. I don’t listen to Roberto Boucher’s pressers

I didn’t either but I did read the actual mandate.

Business forced to close, kids forced out of school, etc

That is lockdowns. Governors asking people to “not hang around each that much” isn’t what I would call a lockdown

Literally none of that will happen in red states

Yes, but unlike December there’s no practical reason to be doing it.

I’m not saying it will outside of blue cities, but even the people living in blue cities and states are no longer truly complying. Again was in California this week, most people weren’t wearing the masks and was only told to put one on once. People aren’t going to take it.

I don’t think they will go that far. It was reported that the winter surge was primarily due to private social gatherings. Putting 50% restrictions on something like indoor dining is pointless.

That one I think the Biden administration will recommend.

I agree.

I'm just comparing the restrictions OM was talking about to what we were doing back then. Which wasn't exactly a "lockdown" but certainly annoying.

The dominoes that had to fall for her to become Mayor is truly amazing.

If the Corps gets walls built correctly she is never Mayor. But is NOLA better or worse off could be asked as well.

Its a cult, one that rewards it's members for destructive actions.

If you think about it, the early hero to this cult was Andrew Cuomo. Its a death cult.
