Anyone sneak in beer/ booze last weekend? How easy was it? We normally just stuff beer into folding chair bag.

Are you going to sneak in a picnic basket too?

Got a flask in but then had to buy a mixer so didn't save much. But they barely looked in my bag; could have brought a case in and they wouldn't have known.

Buy the beer at the fest. The only thing worth sneaking in is vodka to mix with the pink lemonaide drinks they sell near the Acura tent.

Just bring a couple of joints. No hassle or hangover.

Honest question: is Jazz Fest a cultured event? Or is it mostly white folk?

Good god, I can't imagine the hassle. I don't drink much anymore, but during Jazz Fest it was damn easy to go through $100+ worth, over the course of the day. I mean, the whole time you're out there, there's literally nothing to do but walk around drinking beer and listen to music.

I guess some of the cash went to buying some crawfish bread and/or a Cuban, but the rest of it was continuous chugging.

My point- that's about a case per person, that you're talking about lugging a few miles from wherever you parked.

I didn't realize the tickets went for that much. Sounds like a good time, my friend.

Call it a patron filter but at $106 to get in one day and $200 for beer its attracts a crowd* that has disposable income.

*This includes the not so elusive trust fund hippie

I had friends that buried a few 5ths of crown in the ground the week before and dug it up once they were in last year
