Shame he didn't kill the shooter
It is good for him he didnt.

He doesnt have to fight that potential legal bullshite and killing a person would suck no matter the circumstances

Gun was jammed and/or empty, question should be rephrased into "he didn't beat the guy to death with the gun?"

He was very smart about it.

Wrestled it away from him and tossed it over the counter so he couldn't get to it. Then he started trying to restrain him and the naked dude slipped away and ran off.

Those quotes are freaking fantastic. It's like the media tried hard to make him a hero and he was downplaying it so honestly he actually came out as an honest badass. Great

Nah, he said that he actually wrestled with the guy a bit until they were outside, then he ran away, because he wasn't sure if the guy had another gun.

He said getting outside was his main priority because he felt like that was the best chance that he had to live.

I would think it is safe to say as a TSU grad, he is likely liberal, and likely has supported some of the BLM movements you bitch about in your later post.

Maybe not, but the percentages would say yes.

Now, my point in this, is for people like you who let politics shape the way you view people and the world. Good people come from all forms of politics and opinions. So lets just take a deep breath and not go "fricking libs" on everything ok?

Ah, whatever.

Semantics. Anyways, he was smart about it. Separated the guy from the gun completely and got him outside the restaurant.

Then was an honest son of a bitch in the interviews. Comes off like a great, down to Earth guy that doesn't want any publicity.

Yes, it was definitely one of the most honest and humble interviews I've ever seen.

He shed the jacket at some point during the incident. Guy even mentions that in the interview. Maybe it was after the fight though. Police released that fact because they have the jacket and extra mags.

Here is the quote which sure makes it sound like he was naked during the fight. But it is the media so who the hell knows.

quote:

Shaw said that at the time, his own wounds and the gunman's strange appearance didn't matter.

"He was also naked, and that was the last thing on my mind," Shaw said. "I can walk away from a burned hand and a man's nudity.

I am with you. But I want these fricks to go down during the shooting so we don't have a circus trial.

I'm willing to be money that AT&T would have fired him had he used a gun to stop the shooter. Hell they may fire him just for assaulting the shooter.

This regular guy exhibited bravery in the heat of the moment that many probably wouldn't have been able to muster. He also humbly refused to accept the role of "hero" by honestly stating his thoughts were to save himself. We ALL would be thinking the same thing in that situation (unless we had our children there with us).

I'm sure it won't be, but hopefully THIS is the person who is most remembered and talked about from this horrible event rather than the wacko piece of shite the police just caught. If nothing else, he and his family should be able to eat free at Waffle House for the rest of his life. Or at least name a breakfast after him!!!

Well, he's being hailed a hero in this city. Seriously doubt he has trouble finding a job.

I'd buy him a drink if I saw him at a bar.
