Brother shot 6 times

quote:

A man helping with a jambalaya cookout to help pay for the funeral expenses of an Ascension Parish resident fatally gunned down last week was arrested Monday on allegations he shot the dead man's brother as the event was winding down.

That's a fricked up story, but at least the reporter was detailed.

quote:

Morris said his dad and uncle helped with the jambalaya — starting to cut onions and do other prep work at the park about 9 a.m. Sunday — while another organizer brought white beans, a popular jambalaya side dish in Ascension Parish.

Like most people were reading that and saying....Why would they have white beans at a jambalaya dinner?

It was probably written by one of their NOLA staff cretins who likely thinks you're supposed to put tomato sauce in jambalaya too.
