My wife is in the Junior League Atlanta. The bad ones are usually the newbs who are just there to be pretentious bitches and to go the the ball. The ones that have been there, usually have actually done volunteer work and are nice. A lot of the stuck up ones leave once they find out you have to put in volunteer hours.
Junior League charity auctions are usually sweet though, I get some good shite.

No defending here. It was definitely trashy on those folks part. The Junior League of Jackson does a ton of good work for the community though.
