I don't know much about IWC, but this one looks off for some reason.

Replica?

IWC are awesome watches though.

If the picture wasn't taken with a potato it would help. That is a Portugieser Chrono and nothing seems obviously out of place. You can kinda see the hands are blued as they should be. This watch should have a display back and the quickest way to spot a fake for most models is a good picture of the movement. If you can get that I can tell you in about 2 seconds.

It is a $12k watch in stainless retail so if you are considering buying the seller should be able to give high quality pictures.

OP are you going to leave us hanging? You had my curiosity piqued and you vanish.

That is a cool watch until you break a lug on the ceramic case, send it back to Schaffhausen and get a $5k estimate to recase it. I do have a ceramic Panerai and an AP forged carbon diver but the Panerai has wire lugs and there haven't been reports of AP carbon case failures.

I have wanted a Top Gun Miramar for a while but just won't chance the IWC ceramic cases.

That said in my mind the GOAT IWC is either the vintage Mark X or Mark XI

Of the modern ones the Big Pilot is the king if you have the wrist for it, I prefer the 150th aniversary big date version

My favorite IWC Portuguese (they changed the name to Portugieser a few years back) is one that was a pain for me to find but I finally got one last year. It is the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival SE, there were only 100 made and they rarely come up for sale.

I love mine, but have a movement issue and need to send it in.

I am curious what your issues are, that version Chrono (3714) had a modified Valjoux 7750 movement (IWC 79350 cal.) and they are generally bombproof. The OP's referenced watch is a 3903 with the in-house Caliber 89361 and has the cool two hand 12 hour counter at 12 o'clock, it also carries a ~50% price premium.

I love the 7750 based watches, the unidirectional winding rotor makes them feel alive, with the correct flick of the wrist you can make the rotor spin very fast in the non-winding direction and it kinda vibrates your wrist, the WIS call it the 7750 wobble. The only thing I don't like about them is the stiff pushers a result of the cam lever activation, there is nothing like the clean light click of column wheel chronograph.

ETA I didn't notice the OP had removed the pic and said there was a new image but it isn't there.
