Ivar’s still sucks as a bar for all the reasons stated, if it didn’t more ppl would go and it wouldn’t look and smell like a toilet at race trac.

Yea but it's OUR shithole dive bar. And when shite like this happens there's a few of us around to stand up for them. They don't pay me shite. Chad or Edwin may give me a free shot of cheap vodka once every 6 months or so. But nothing else. Our tab Saturday was $62 + $20 tip for Katie behind the bar. Great food and service.
And Tell your subordinate not to hate me. I still like her and will hit on her when I see her again. We're moving back to the area(maybe even into your hood) by summer 2023 and will be more 'regular' than we have been in Zippys and Ivars for last 3 years.

Well see, he is going for the throat and I’m only making commentary on Ivar’s quality as a bar and its practices as I see it. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, just taking up for his bar and all.
In the thread, I submitted that homophobic slurs were made so I really don’t know what more there is to say or rebut. I think that worse gets said and done all the time in there, selective application is a slippery slope.

I'm not a huge Ivar's fan personally (although I went a ton during Covid), but I feel like it is plenty busy/frequented by people.
I'm sure there are times of day or days of week that it is dead like anywhere, but nothing unusual.

There is a huge difference between what people say at the privacy of their own table amongst friends vs. calling a patron a slur.
No sane business, even a dive bar, is going to tolerate patrons using slurs. That would be suicide in today's world.

Why do you care that some 50 year old bar fly got banned from a bar...It appears that you're gripe is more about that than it is about the bar itself
