I have to disagree with this because my last secretary had no flipping idea she was about to be fired despite several conversations about her "performance" which always ended in her calling me mean and her being caught on social media on the computers of another attorney in my suite.

Ryno is the prototypical oilfield douchebag. He was bragging about comp 2 years ago and now that he's broke and never saved any of that money (blown on shitty things like BMWs, shirts from express, and pooka she'll necklaces) he is wanting someone to feel bad for him.

Agree. It's not like it's coming out of the blue. They know there's a chance and they'll hedge their bets accordingly.
