Time to get back to work
Back to the gyms
And back to life
We’ve been unemployed and not working out for too long!

Can you imagine if the gym you go to gets notified one of its members tested positive a week or two after it opens?

Yep. And I’d be there the next day.

The virus isn’t going anywhere...we either need to lock everything down or reopen. This half-assed shite is doing nothing but making the situation worse.

Never understood paying to work out.

Never understood paying for transportation. Run, walk, steal a bike, etc. I guess I just like my money too much.

Never understood paying to eat. Grow a garden, raise chickens, etc. I guess I just like my money too much.

Never understood paying for entertainment. Check out a book from the library, write and perform a sock puppet play, use your damn imagination. I guess I just like my money too much.

Never understood paying for clothes. Get a sewing machine (you can get them for next to nothing at estate sales) and reuse those old bed sheets or drapes to make your own clothes. I guess I just like my money too much.

Never understood paying for education. Just observe the world around you. All the education you need. Intelligence is just a liberal conspiracy anyway. I guess I just like my money too much.

Yeah I’m not sure you would be. They would shut that shite down the minute they found out.

You pick up litter to stay in shape?

So you think picking up litter, helping the neighbors (whatever that means), doing sit ups and pushups, etc has the same effect as working out at a gym with weights and machines?

It’s incredible that people think that way (“can you imagine if I was around someone with corona! Oh noes!”) I don’t hear my nurse friends panicking after they get an email about a patient they treated having corona. Just assume we’re all going to get it and do our best to mitigate in the meantime.

Well, you weren’t discussing a government-ordered closure.

Also, this “droplets lingering in the air” thing is being regurgitated from one study in China about a restaurant in Hong Kong, that makes a massive leap to the conclusion that the reason the virus spread in the place was because of the AC system...not anything else.

This is a lie. Had it been true, you'd have said, "My CrossFit box opened last week."

Yeah I can’t imagine what could go wrong with opening a place where everyone goes in and expels deep breathes while others breathe it in during a wide spread lung virus.

Ok fatty. Some men have a need to do heavy squats.

I’ve turned myself into the enemy in this thread, but I don’t plan to stay in my house and I do think we should open back up, I’m just hesitant on gyms right now.

It’s ok, sweetie. No one’s making you go to a gym.

Ours gyms open tomorrow in Mississippi, and restaurants opened already with hair salons and barber shops open May 25.. Having lived in Louisiana for 10 years, Ii don’t get the governors and some mayors desire to keep people under house arrest other than to flex political muscle.

You are a good example of why they chose to start the millennial generation in 81 with comments like that.
