I have the laws of physics on my side. What do you have?

I hit a lazy curve doing about 45 when my front tire slid on a thick patch of fresh grass clippings some careless homeowner had blown straight into the street. My hog fishtailed hard, rear end stepping out like it was trying to runaway from me

Anywhere close to this speed one of two things are going to happen if your front tire washes in a curve.

The bike is going down very quickly on its side that’s on the inside part of the curve, or if the front tire grabs quickly, the bike is going to go down towards the outside of the curve, most likely throwing you off in the process.

The rear end is not going to fishtail.

None of this happened.

People can’t pay attention to the task in front of them. Do you think they really notice the byproduct of that task? No one is trying to sabotage you riding your hog.

What a pathetic hobby if grass can take you down

Also, I’d have a lot more respect for riders of hogs and other two-wheelers if they didn’t feel the need to ride two wide with one hugging the yellow line on two lane state highways. Like they’re daring me to clip them.

If I was worried about losing control of a vehicle due to grass clippings, I'd find another mode of transportation

Where else they gonna go after mowing and edging?

Swept up in a garbage bag? Blown into the yard? Even I take enough pride in my shitty yard to not leave my crap in the street. I don’t need that going into the nearest storm drain. You probably throw your used cig butts on the ground too.
