Also, you never call it Frisco. No one calls it fricking Frisco. That's retarded.

Odis Redding called it Frisco and he was much cooler than you

Locally we just call it the city. Oakland is oaktown, everything else is east/north/South Bay.

Meh, IDC.

Good bars in SF, though.
Was surprised at the # of hot women.

In a good way or bad way? I've lived in SF for more than three years now and am underwhelmed by the talent. However you were at a hotel bar in a touristy part of the city, so I doubt you were chilling with too many locals. Overall I find the locals to be not too friendly, but nodody really tends to have anything against southerners (not to my face at least). It's a very snobby, cliquish city.

People from Marin just say Marin, unless they're from Belvedere or Ross (which they'll specify). People from south of SF will specify Peninsula or South Bay but will specify Atherton, Menlo Park, Los Altos Hills, or Hillsborough. East Bay tends to be East Bay unless it's Alamo.

Let's not compare San Francisco to SOCAL or Miami.

In a good way.

Obviously, it's a very male-dominated city. The nights I went to that bar, women out-numbered the men 5-6:1.

I didn't get vibe they were tourists, necessacarily. Seemed more like an upscale after-work crowd.

Live in the Bay Area near San Jose. I refer to San Francisco as either "The City" or SF. Don't usually say Frisco. SFO is only the airport.

Agreed. Live in the peninsula and it's very snobbish. Unless you work in a startup or tech ppl look down on you kind of. I really like ppl down South so much better.

It's so, "Oh I went to Stanford/Harvard/Yale/Berkeley/Wharton, and my startup is funded! Oh you went to LSU? I hear you have a good football program..."

Don't worry. The gays in SF aren't looking to ambush and sodomize every guy they see. They largely keep to themselves.

Notwithstanding what people may think of the people, such a beautiful location and interesting city.

Standing at Crissy field on a sunny day with the Golden Gate to your left, sail boat races on the water, and Alcatraz to your right. A great view.
