He made a statement earlier this morning while discussing Japan/USAs relationship.

Just in case you were not watching or it makes a difference to you, it wasn't a "statement." A reporter asked two questions- one to Obama and one to the Japanese leader there. The one to Obama was directly about the situation in Baltimore. He apologized to the (Prime Minister?) for taking his question first, announced that he was going to be wordy, because it was "something that is very important to us here right now."

Was it a calculated plant to make a statement? Probably. But he did not make an unprovoked statement during that conference.

They didn't care because there was literally nobody there to stop them. It won't be anything like that tonight

If only you could see my FB feed right now. It's unbelievable how many people are justifying what's going on.

haven't had the tube on but I'm surprised more black athletes haven't been chiming in supporting this, they're usually pretty good at shooting from the lip without regards to facts

Do y'all think it was a good strategy for the police to stay back and let the dumbass looters and rioters have their time?

Soooo.....

Friday is the big day.

If the looters don't like the investigation findings, things go nuclear.

Why 5am to 10pm? WTf?

Why wouldn't it be 5pm to 10am? Wouldn't that make more sense?

It's not the Police, it's the Politicians running the show in the city.

Like in Ferguson, the Police were forced to stand down.

Unfortunately, it's the reason why I can't unfriend people. I need the exposure, and it's also why I can't share my opinions on what is going on.

Maybe preparing for the verdict that will be announced during the day time later this week? That's the only reason I can think of and it's retarded. Not to mention keeping kids out of school for another day

They came up with a good spin answer for that. Supposedly because there were a lot of underaged kids out there that they didn't want to use force on.

I agree completely.

I should have phrased the question as the strategy

The Mayor's Office is now saying it's inaccurate but it was reported from the City Council's President
