Yes, we are aware.

Do you think anyone wakes up and thinks "I'm going to kill my kids today" being in their correct mind?
You could say this about anyone who kills anyone.

On top of that, this is essentially the first time I have ever seen a mass defense of a child murderer.

There was a black woman in 2016 who murdered her 4 children and there was zero outcry for the mother.

She received $0 in support and no pity from anyone.

You can think someone is in the wrong and deserves to suffer the consequences of their actions and also understand that everyone in the scenario is a victim.
You can address the post-partum depression angle while not trying to remove accountability and show pity for the murderer.

At the same time, you can do all of this while not raising $1 million dollars for the child murderer.

The fact that $1 million was raised for an individual who strangled her three children death completely nullifies any argument that this outcry is simply “to bring awareness to PPD”.

Cut the crap.

They raised more money for her than Karmelo Anthony.

So I think this is where I need to be clear.

I agree with you. Actions have consequences.

But also why did she do this? This is the root issue. "Throw her away". Fine. We've established this. Why did this happen and how can we prevent it?

Like I said, women are pushing this because nobody is acknowledging that it's sad for her. She's a human. One that deserves to be punished, but a human nonetheless.

Just because you acknowledge maybe it was her hormones doesn't mean you are giving her some sort of pass. Both can be true.

No, she was sick. She had postpartum depression. You can do two things at once. You can think someone is in the wrong and deserves to suffer the consequences of their actions and also understand that everyone in the scenario is a victim.

The brushing off of this makes me sad. It's like saying someone overreacted. Reactions match the emotions most people are feeling. Something happened to make her do what she did.

To say "she's just evil" pisses women off because it's dismissive, and more importantly it's lazy. It's intellectually a lazy position to take because you don't have the ability to work your brain hard enough to be open minded and explore different ideas of why people do horrible things.

i'm rolling my eyes at your stupid "women need more grace and support" or whatever bullshite you said. women have been given virtually unlimited grace and support for all time, and where has that led us? it has led us to a place where a woman kills her kids, and huge numbers of women SUPPORT her. and then here you come along saying that, gosh if only we gave them more grace and support.

and because it has to be said, what happens when a man kills his family? is there EVER a call for "more grace and understanding" for men in general? of course not.

it's fricking preposterous.

It's okay. You're right.

This simply won't go anywhere. You don't have the ability.

Have a great day. I pray for the women in your life.

They emotional intelligence and “recognize PPD” stance is moot.

Again, it's white women, and they see themselves in her because she is pretty average at best

She did this because she was taught that being a woman is just too hard and she needed medication to cope. She surrounded herself with empaths and people who only told her that her feelings are valid and therapy and a million pills will fix her feelings. She was never taught to actually deal with them. Women have access to anything they need but they still aren’t supposed to be thankful and happy.

She’s been medicated since nursing school where she was prescribed beta blockers for “fear of public speaking.” Literally everyone has that fear. 85% of Americans. Yet she thought she needed to be medicated for it. That’s where this starts. The enablement and victimhood and meds will fix every discomfort. When the overprescribing didn’t work, she did all that was left to her. She removed the source of her discomfort: her children.

Yes. The system failed her. But not in the way these women want to admit. She had access to all the help and healthcare should could possibly want. But no one told her that difficulties come with living. That suffering and stress is often essential to teaching us how to deal with it all. But no. These women want to remove every single stressed. They want safe spaces. They want participation trophies. They want government to fund everything. Your personal truth is truth.

These ideologies are constantly pushed on us through media and social media. These are the consequences.

And yet, it gets even lower when you're around....

Manson was mentally ill. Dahmer was mentally ill. Casey Anthony was mentally ill. Andrea Yates was mentally ill. Chris Watts was mentally ill. To engage in the level of depravity that those folks engaged in requires some level of mental illness. Yet, nobody is calling for empathy for them, nor should they be.

The issue is that you and the other idiots that are calling for empathy for her are doing so in an effort to deflect responsibility by suggesting that her actions were outside of her control.

we just need to hold space for these women and let them exist in a way that is uplifting. once we do the work to really decenter our own internalized toxic masculinity, i think we'll see them really disrupting the patriarchy. god willing.

be well, friend.
