I do not recall having such a scorcher like this for quite while. Anyone got any numbers on that? Stepping outside right now from the AC in my house at 8 PM is miserable with the heat and humidity. And there does not seem to be an end this week. Lows in the high 70's with 100% humidity and highs 97+ here in the BTR and NOLA area

But to answer the question, I keep conjuring up images of the movie Body Heat .

It sucks.

I ran a few miles (lol, two) then washed the cars, hung a fishing rod holder, covered the boat and just drank beer the rest of day.

Fall weather. The smell in the air before it snows. I hate hot weather.

It's been ridiculous in BR. I guess it's just because I'm getting older or something but I don't remember feeling this suffocating heat

All I think about is that first front pulling on through. This weather sucks balls.

I think of all the people who bitched about the ice days last year and think, "frick those people. I hope they die of heatstroke."

That first front in October can't get here soon enough.

Last year we had a strong cold front come through the first weekend in October.. the weekend of the LSU/Auburn game, and it knocked the temps down into the low 40s in Auburn. Upper 40s in BR.

It's amazing. I remember jacket weather going well into May last year and people were like global warming my arse.

Every summer we get a high pressure system that sits on top of us for about a week and a half.... Gets to be a real arse burner...

Hopefully this one is easing its way out and we get some rain....

I love hot showers and can't stand anything less. But lately I have been showering with not even lukewarm water.

My first thought as well, and it's not just images, but the music, too. One of my all-time favs.
