It's awkward at funerals when the priest asks if anyone wants to say something and nobody

That's some awkward silence. You'd think they would ask the family beforehand if anyone wants to speak. It makes it looks like nobody cares about the deceased enough to say something. Everyone is too busy thinking about reading the will and partying at the post-funeral get together.
