It’s amusing to observe how auto journalists treat the release of a new vehicle

‘ABC autocompany flew me out to a scenic location and paid for my hotel. Now I am going to give you a story that glosses over any deficiencies in this vehicle and instead focus on the positives while using perfectly captured photographs of said vehicle that were taken by the manufacturer’

Can't take this city slicker's opinion seriously on a truck.

When we bought our last vehicle they weren’t released yet, so these reviews were all we had to pick out colors, features and option packages. Ordered it before any were in America. They tested some diesel versions with all the bells and whistles in some beautiful countries though.

They've all been doing this for years. What they put out is basically the sales packet they give the dealerships. If they write bad reviews, the manufacturers bitch at the parent companies, and the writers get cut. This happens on YouTube reviews as well

It's pay for play. Journalism is dead, all the critics have been paid off
