q-tips. The constitution of the stick is such that I can bear down at all the necessary angles while the cotton allows me to spin furiously without unwinding deep in my ear which would require surgical removal. Dang near had surgery to get an off brand chuck of cotton off my ear drum many years ago.

Ground Black Pepper. McCormick is finer, thus mitigating the risk of getting multiple large flakes in your teeth.
On the other side of this, a couple things that I’ve found to be excellent value relative to the name brand products are Great Value pistachios and granola bars.

At the farm one time I could not find a gas can to take some fuel to a friend whose UTV ran out of gas. Found a 5 gallon bucket that had a hole in the side. I slapped a piece of gorilla tape on it and it held for the 10 minutes it took to get to him.
