Also, the goal of the bank is to tie you up every way possible through what they call "sticky services."

i call them hooks.

quite true, but i suspect this goes both ways ---- if customers actually follow through on their threat to cancel and leave.

I banked with Hibernia forever and my mom worked there and went over with the Cap One acquisition. I stayed with them until she left then hauled arse. I can’t believe I’m saying this but a Chase has been orders of magnitude better to me. I was furious when one of my BofA credit accounts was moved to Cap One and paid it off and closed the account immediately.

I’ve used capital one for almost 30 years. I’ve never had a problem with them.

Open a new checking account slowly fund it and then switchover everything. Use it as another "savings account" initially. It isn't a bad thing to work with multiple banks and actually easier to save dollars and you can have funds separate in case you get locked out for fraud, identity theft or other reasons.

It’s going to take a freaking investigation roger my $100 credited to my account.

i had this happen to me possibly at the same location. it took a month but they ruled in my favor and made the deposit correct. i still have a savings account with them but nothing else. their customer service has gone to schitt. i have had an account with them since the Hibernia days.

I've banked with Capital One since they acquired Hibernia 15 years ago and never had any issues with them

Hopefully, this was a one time mishap. That dude was asking me a shitload of questions about my account though. He wasn’t professional and kept interrupting me. I have direct deposit with these people so going to another bank might not be worth my time.

Good customer service means a lot to me. If I go into that bank with a mask on and getting upset, they might get Barney Fife to taser my black arse.

If it’s the same app for credit cards and money market accounts, y’all must struggle with technology in general. They’ve easily got one of the best apps on the market, hands down.

Of course, if you were white, they would give you $500 back.

Just ask the Rev-uh-runds Jackson and Sharpton, Drew Brees, Malcolm Jenkins, Dementia Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, every employee of PMSNBC, XiNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, WaPo, NYT, etc.

Yes I received the usual post card of the class action law suit... It will be interesting to see what happens.. When I was gambling I had a tone of those charges.. It pissed me off because the ATMs at Harrahs have the Capital One sign on the ATM making you think it is a Capital One ATM..

I just hate that they keep closing branches. I don’t want to have to drive 45 minutes to get to a bank.
