I seent it this time. There were only a few high clouds. When it finally went behind some it was probably somewhere over Nova Scotia(ish).

Good night for it, other than an overabundance of moths insisting on tickling my leg hairs.

Thanks for the heads up

The mosquitos were especially hateful tonight. Most of us stuck it out though

just caught it in madisonville. Whipped out the HT and caught some QSLs. That was pretty cool.

Does it have an FM repeater now? I used to send APRS packets.

Say baw. Imma need a slowed down explanation of this.

He had to take a leak while watching, pulled out his pecker, and caught a couple mosquito bites for his troubles.

Nerd HAM radio stuff. Didn't think i would catch any traffic on a cheap hand held unit but it did surprisingly well.

I caught pretty steady traffic the whole time they were in line of sight.

My 13yo has watched it with me plenty of times, but for my 4yo when I told her it was a spaceship with people on it, she finally took the time to see it. She jumped on her rocket bike, and was trying to chase it down the street.

Highly recommend the app called HRE-TECH. All the prep work i did was taking the practice tests via the app for 3/4 days and i was fine.

All you need to do is pass to get on the air. Don;t sweat it.

That was fricking awesome. 255 miles high moving at 17,400 MPH. Glad I stumbled upon this thread, I feel like that was a once in a lifetime type of sighting from my house. Went basically straight over me

Click on the link in the OP… that’s how I knew about it. I got a text message this am. It’s best to set thresholds of viewing angle and time. This peak was super high and a 6 minute or so time in view made it optimal.
