Are you flying your Palestinian flag proudly or do you keep it on the down low?

You ask for the reasons for the attacks, here you Geaux: (It’s always the same game, power)

1. The Israelis were perceived as being vulnerable. If you have been following world politics you know that Netanyahu and his has facist regime tried to eliminate judicial review of political decisions. This is opposed by vast majority of Israelis and split the country. He is also under indictment and investigation for fraud, etc. I am not sure they even have a majority operating government. In protest a significant number of people were not honoring their military commitment, or saying they would not honor a call. They were in utter turmoil.

As a result they were significantly distracted from Gaza as they believed the area was under control, and they were protected by the wall and electronic surveillance etc. Obviously, they were wrong.

2. Iran fears being completely isolated if the Saudi-Israeli peace deal is reached. They were supposed to start working on finalizing this, guess when? Today, that’s obviously not happening and after Bebes revenge that will be years away at best. If that had been resolved this week, all the Sunni Arab countries would follow suit and it would be referred to as an Shia -Israeli conflict not a Muslim Arab conflict. Iran would be completely isolated by everyone probably even the Chinese.

3. This will undoubtedly hurt our ability to help Ukraine which is effectively kicking Russias arse right now despite the odds. Russia is one of Iran’s only Allies. Russia needs to hit the reset button and needs a temporary peace deal or cease fire to do that. If Putin goes down the fundamentalist leadership in Iran is almost friendless and probably toast it’s just a matter of time. So Russia obviously is also behind this move.

Again it’s about power, and who will wield it in the Middle East and the world. Hamas is a throw away pawn in this game that really nobody gives a flying frick about. The Sunni Arabs would probably pay to ship them all to Iran just to not have to deal with them. (Iran doesn’t want them, Eqypt will not take them, the German will not even take them etc etc) Everyone in power in the Middle East feels vulnerable after the Arab spring uprisings, and is much less interested in external shite like this and more interested in staying in power, including the Iranians.

They know that we are coming up on an election, price of oil, isolationist trends, price of corn in Iowa etc etc. they have Ivy League educated economics, political scientists etc. They are playing the game. It’s king pawn ahead two spaces……..

Like Cuomo said 40 minutes ago this will affect the election.

They are loading the videos of hostage beheadings and executions as a strategic move. Probably then let some women children go the next day. (They have already moved their families to Iran and Turkey btw. )

all civilians are innocent of this carnage. That includes the West Bank, Gaza, Golson heights, and Israel proper. As always, innocents pay the ultimate price for war crimes they had no part in committing

Bull shite! Any civilian that lends support to Hamas, which includes dancing in the street, is fair game. Sorry but not sorry, this trash needs to be eliminated!

only thing I would add to your very correct observations is that no matter what happens here, Russia stands to gain. That’s not good for anyone

Netanyahu wants a dictatorship and the easiest path to that is war. Russia wants the same as they desperately need Israel to move away from the west. And they must have some pause in aid to Ukraine so that they can regroup. An Israeli-hamas (and hezbollah) conflict with massive civilian casualties will effect both goals

Russia trained hamas that is clear. What is less clear now is what the west can do to defuse this

I wouldn’t care if Israel turned Gaza into a parking lot. The PLO and now Hamas have been living high on the hog of other nations dime. The people of Palestine put them in power. Let them suffer the consequences

Biden admin has given them 500 million in 2 years. Let them starve.

I was and still can be in spurts. Haven’t always sat on a couch. My combat action ribbons and medal for valor sort of prove that boy. So yeah I can easily say it time for total war because I have been there. When you attack defenseless civilians, executing the elderly, raping and murdering women, kidnapping children and celebrate it by dancing in the streets you a human trash and we need to turn a blind eye when Israel takes it to the curb.

So we’re justifying forced removal of people now? You do realize shite like this is why Hamas was even able to gain a following. Sure, but it’s beyond clear at this point that there is no world where a Hamas-led Palestine and Israel can peacefully coexist. Israel doesn’t have a lot of options if it wants to keep its people reasonably safe, and unfortunately the safest option for them will directly cause a humanitarian disaster in Palestine. Whether Western liberals condone it or not isn’t really their concern.

Agree cgrand, they didn’t test fly these ultra lights in Gaza. I don’t want to short change the Iranians, they are definitely capable of planning something like this but I smell significant Russian intelligence involvement in all this. They have spy satellites, computer viruses, jamming equipment etc too.

And they are the big winners, plus to be completely Frank, they are bragging about it already.

We will probably never fully know the extent of their involvement, publicly anyway. But yeah the Russians love to play chess……
