Huh? The Europeans were dogshit compared to what was going on in the Arabic and Asian worlds when the Mongols came through. The only reason Europe rose to what it now is is because the Mongols massacred the Arabic and the Asian worlds.
Had it not been for political squabbling with Khans, they would have done the same with Europe. Hell they took a scouting party to Europe and were sacking cities and just leaving because they didn't have men to occupy them.
Europe was basically the stone ages compared to the Middle East and China.

Tons of historical developments came from the near-east and far east. Those things probably mostly came during the Dark Ages and Middle Ages, the only time periods where white European culture fricking sucked. And to be fair, it was a pretty long period until Europe got its shite together. I base this off of vast generalizations.
