China seems to be agitated and Russia isn’t over. Is this the war of this era that we will be involved in? Can we win?

If there was ever a shooting war declared against China or Russia, I'd hope that we'd rise up against our own government.

I think so. I’m actually starting to believe that a nuclear apocalypse will happen during my lifetime. It seems like we’re going backwards as societies again. It’s like everyone has a thirst for war suddenly.

Can we win????? It’s not a matter of winning. It’s just how fast we want to. The only problem we may have is if Joe has the balls to do what is required.

China and Russia both know Western leadership is incredibly weak right now. Thus, they are using that fact to advance their own interest. Eventually, hopefully soon, the pendulum of Western leadership will swing in the other direction (to some degree) and those countries, who still very much have their own issues, will be put back in check a bit. That said, there will not be a war. Western leaders don't have the backbone to threaten that, let alone engage in one.

Of course war is inevitable. We are humans and we have evolved to be warriors.
We are the apex predator and take what we want from all the other species and from the weakest within our own species.
War is natural. Without war we would quickly flounder in our progress towards becoming the creators of the earth’s first spacefaring species, AI.

Lots of turmoil in the world, so there's ample opportunity for social and economic planners to make moves. War is usually the go-to reset.
