It’s been above 105 for over a week straight here. Over 108 since Thursday.

but supposed to hit 90 on Monday and Tuesday.
Monday morning around 5:45AM, we were leaving our hotel in Las Vegas to go to the airport and it was already 95 degrees.

It was 70 degrees in Northen Virginia today. Highs around 80 for the next 10 days. This is nowhere near to the hottest summer here. We can get some damned hot and humid summers in the DC metro area but this isn't one of them.

It's about as hot as last summer and the summer before that and the summer before that...etc etc.
It's always hot this time of year in south LA.

Of the 50 largest towns/cities in Louisiana, 23 of them recorded their record highs in the summer of 2000, so no.

The highest temp ever recorded in Louisiana was 114 in Plain Dealing, La (Bossier Parish) in 1936.
It is 105 in NWLa at 6 PM and my weather station recorded 107.6 yesterday at the peak.
It’s bad but not historically bad. Hottest week since 2011 for sure, though.
