I’ve had access to one of the most private collections I’ve ever heard of. I had an uncle who managed and restored cars for a very wealthy guy and the cars were incredible. Two 1959 Ferrari California’s. A 1955 Mercedes gullwing. One of two original Bugatti cars. Two pebble beach winners. And the list goes on. I have pics but I’m not allowed to post them. I don’t even know how to post pics if I could.

I typically expect to answer no to these kinds of questions but the answer here is obviously yes. It’s a beautiful machine.

Ok, The 1964 XKE convertible is the best

I agree with this, however, the only proper color is British racing green...

Same designer at GM was responsible for the Avalanche:

He also designed the 5th Gen camaro and the c7 corvette.

Ironically the executive over the Aztec failure is now the president of GM and has a lot to do with the zr1 cars .

Agree and they didn’t look like they were all punched out by the same cookie cutter machine.

I had an older relative buy a Pacer when they first came out. A few years later, he bought a Chevrolet Citation when they first came out.

Looking back, he was always kind of an idiot who fell for any promotional scam that came along.

A pinto station wagon was the fastest street legal care on the west side of Atlanta in the early 80's. Street legal using the term very loosely but a man and his son built a pinto wagon with a twin turbo charged a twin overhead cam engine in it and it would outrun anything other than a rail buggy with a built VW or Porsche engine. It would win about 80% of the time against those. On an i/8 mile strip or the street, did not matter, that thing would simply hook up and fly. The rear end was narrowed down to the point that it was almost nothing but the differential housing..the axles may have been 6" long. If that wanted to they could keep the front tires off the ground nearly the length of that 1/8 mile....it was, as we said back then, a running piece of plunder. And, for the era, it wasn't a horribly ugly vehicle...

Also, it wasn't a Ford. It was a De Tomaso

I know but the 351 Cleveland was a Ford beast, probably better than the 429 Cobra Jet.

I also understand the Pantera engines were made in Australia, but still Ford DNA.
