Is an S5 really “status quo”? And a middle age guy with a revamped muscle car isn’t really what I would call being unique.

Unless the car is very rare (highly unlikely) or has a sentimental value, it's pretty easy to replace

Most guys I know with classics spend quite a bit of their own sweat and money on them, so yeah...they're usually more than something you can just go out and buy.

Yea I imagine most people are spending their own money on their own cars.

My point still stands. These cars are incredibly easy to purchase if it's not what I stated above.

Go to eBay
Type 66 mustang gt
Buy car

If you've ever invested your own labor, it will never be the same.

I'm glad my wife can't tell the difference between an Audi and an Altima.

Are you just trying to be difficult?

I said rare or sentimental value in my original post. That includes your stupid blood, sweat, and tears crap

For all we know, the guy bought his dream car on eBay last year with some computer clicks

I mean, you have a 50% chance of being right. And wrong.

Blood sweat and tears crap... I guess we know how soft your hands are..

If I had 66 Mustang, I would divorce before giving that up. That’s a piece of America right there.

Jesus, Roger. The folksy Paul Bunyan routine really gets old after a while.

It’s so often used as some sort of reassurance for people who are in many ways trying to compensate for their relative lack of success.

Just because you (in general) may work with your hands doesn’t make you in and of itself more noble than someone who doesn’t.

I'm very successful

You're problem is the inability to see beyond your new yawk faux elitist act.

Who said this shite?

However sweat equity definitely adds personal value to a project for anyone.

Well if you consider commercial fisherman "working on a boat" I guess you would be correct. It's also very lucrative.

Still can’t stop huh? Again, putting up some sort of facade that living in the “wilderness “ has some sort of inherent nobility. Oh well, if it makes you feel better about yourself I guess.

And I wasn’t implying that you weren’t successful. Don’t be so sensitive.

Not very familiar with commercial fisherman that work from the land
