Where the kids make A's, mommy always lays, and all the bills daddy pays?

No.

if you did, you would see how many perfect families there are.

It's part of the reason I deleted my account years ago. Well, in general, just people painting a completely different picture of their life than they really lived... It was just petty.

When I say "perfect" family, as I mentioned in the OP. It is a family in which the husband and wife has a marriage that has no problems. The kids are "ideal", they never get in trouble, they all excel in school, etc.

Sounds like this:

Every family is dysfunctional in some way.

While there is truth to that....they are still far from the perfect family.

We are all flawed, every single one of us.

You asked two different questions. Yes, there is a such thing as a perfect marriage.

To your 2nd question, who cares if your friend is hiding something?

There are a lot of flavors at Baskin Robbins. What works for you doesn't work for everyone.

There are fools on the OT that will end a relationship with a perfect woman bc she has a tattoo. Good for them. Not everyone is the same.

I said this earlier, I should have worded this thread different, but like you said.. We are all flawed. And I am not saying people should tell others about their flaws, but this is more about people who go out of their way to give the impression everything in their life is perfect.

It's like being an alpha. If you have a perfect family (a flawed, but somewhat perfect family) you don't have to tell everyone on FB. If you go out of your way to let everyone know your family is perfect or that you're an alpha, you're doing it wrong. People just know when it's true.

Makes me think they are not truthful. Nothing is perfect, that is what makes life interesting.

This is a good point. Makes you wonder what they are hiding.

Mine is pretty close. Great wife and kids. But we have dealt with one child experiencing a life threatening illness and another being investigated, although never charged, with marijuana possession. Then yet another got pulled over and found in possession of alcohol by a minor. The cop knew me and didn't charge him, instead just confiscated the cold beer. But other than the child who was ill and is now doing fine, the rest is just issues typical to many teens. So maybe my family isn't perfect but I've been blessed way more than I deserve. And I try to thank God everyday for those blessings because I know of many who aren't nearly as fortunate.
