Yes. Someone coming on TD complaining about others sharing their condolences for the recently departed is more ridiculous.

Nothing more ridiculous than throwing a sack of meat in the ground and putting a bit of concrete over them
I didn't realize death was supposed to make sense

Just get rid of your facebook. I deleted mine after freshman year & it's been great.
Only downside (no tinder).

Not everyone does it for the attention. Though I'm sure some do

RIP Paige's taste in men and women

It doesn't bother me but it is something I notice. I think some people do it just so others can see that they wrote on their wall.
I've known people that hardly even know someone and when they die they write a huge paragraph about this one time they met. Facebook is just full of attention whores.

frick it, i agree with you. there are always lots of posts like "RIP xxxxx, i never knew you or talked to you but you were a great person by all accounts. hope we can meet someday in heaven."
people actually post that shite. i dunno, seems bullshite to me.
people close to that person posting on facebook seems fishy as well, but i wouldnt understand so i cant really relate. it's just odd to me when someone's mom or really close friend posts on their facebook wall on like their birthday or something saying a bunch of emotional shite.

People are always around for the funeral. It's the ones that look after you years later that ever gave a damn.

It's the closest thing they have a to a physical or tangible relationship with their loved one

ive seen some cool posts though where someone will be like, hey dude, youd really like this song or video or something.

True. But it also helps keep his or her memory alive when a lot of people are doing it. Maybe kinda. Idk how to say it
But I have a friend who lost her 14 year old son and everyone in that family posts on his page all the time. And I know they aren't doing it for attention. It's probably kind of like a support thing too. Seeing that you all love and miss and think about him all the time. That probably doesn't make sense but I don't know how to put it any better

Someone a bunch of people on my timeline knew died and here come the "RIP" and "We hardly knew ye" posts. What's the point? Dead people don't read facebook. Stop it. No one is impressed that you knew someone that died. It's like they all race to be a part of some weird club.
I've texted a dead's friend phone a couple of times. It just feels right sometimes, ya know?
