Is there any way to find out who placed an offer on a house?

I know it’s probably impossible until the sale is final but just asking in case I don't know of some obscure way. Trying to do some recon on a future neighbor.

If it's your house, you can see the signatures (and sometimes printed name(s)) of the buyer on some of the official docs like the purchase agreement, the offer, appraisal, inspections, etc.

Ask the realtor. Give them a "wink wink" that if they are black you will use them for your house sale.

You could just do the normal thing and introduce yourself when they move in. I met most of my neighbors while cutting my grass and they'd bring over a beer.

Why? What are you going to do with that info when you get it? Just wait and see. If they move in and are great neighbors then it's a nice surprise. If they move in and suck you just saved yourself weeks or being annoyed at the inevitable.

And also tried to make them sell you some of their land so you can have an alternate driveway?
And also files noise complaints on houses that were there long before you?
And also built some massive fence in what was once their beautiful forrested background?
