Bought a very good dryer for a very good price. Just needed something for a few years and it's been very good.

I got scammed pretty bad trying to sell a guitar amp. I eventually sold the amp locally but had my chain yanked for a second. Im sure everyone has heard about the Western Union scam, but if you ever here the words "Western Union" from a buying party with Craiglist, it is 110% a scam.

How long did you pursue the sale once the words Western Union came into the mix?

Does anything postive ever come from that site (buying/selling, jobs, services, hooking up) ? To me it seems like its full of scams and ripoffs. Share your craigslist stories positive or negative.

Bought and sold some furniture and appliances on CL with no problem.

I bought a 85 honda 70 cc for $100 in west virginia. Rode it around the park by my house for fun, but I am currently creating an LSU bike for my little cousin.

Frame, front fork, and wheels powder coated purple
all white plastics and I got the helmet stickers from my buddy that works for lsu athletics to put on the gas tank. Thats it for me

Bought a set of matching kitchen appliances super cheap when I was redoing my kitchen in order to sell a place.

I got a range, microwave, and dishwasher for half the cost of just the new range.

I stopped trying to sell it after my bullshite meter went off. Then researched the Western Union scam (which I did not know about 3 yrs ago) and was pretty pissed off about it. I then tried to get local law enforcement involved and proceeded with the "sell" a few days after to try and let the TPOS hang himself. In the end, there was nothing they could do because the value of the goods didnt exceed a specific amount in order to make it a felony offense, or so I was told.

I've got acquired roomates and bough and sold goods going back to 2003 or so. Never had anything bad.

Guy I knew would meet and bang strange women in public places from there. We followed him once. It was true.

I listed a motorcycle a few years back. Got blasted with scams and spam for a few months, and not a single legitimate person interested.
