Maybe I have missed it but I haven't read where any Baton Rouge companies/business have come out publicly indicating that they were working with Millard on a project
I’m sure all that got forced under the rug…Would you want your business affiliated with this news?
He sounds like he was on a one way mission… he obviously gave up on showing up to work; he knew at some point that might get him fired, his “wife” would find out, etc. he must have been super unhappy inside and decided this was it, I can’t fight this anymore. Maybe he wanted to die, it’s possible this was just a suicide relapse

I wouldn't - but based on experience I know the OT investigative team can pretty much find out anything!!

This - and I wonder how legit the story is that he had a meeting scheduled at 8 am that morning. Was the entire trip a front to Do what he did? Based on his movements that night he has been to BTR before and he knew where to go to find what it was he was looking for

I'd say being at a convenience store at 4:15am with hookers and drug dealers might have messed up that 8am meeting he was supposed to attend

Once he reached the point of no return, the plan was probably to make some bullshite phone call at 7:50 and say he had a flat tire or a lupus flare-up or God knows what.

He actually left Happy's at 11:30
I believe the early reports we heard was that he was 86'd from Happy's at 11:30 because he was beyond 3 sheets. But then later a Greyhound clerk said he didn't look to be in any distress or majorly impaired. Do we know why the discrepancy between this two pieces of the timeline?

Probably got hold of some speed and “sobered” him up a bit.

Well ain't that some shite.
Him's was doing the Heroin! And he got some gooood stuff. And I was told it was the hookers and cocaines he was into that night. Ah well.
"Hookers and Heroin" has a decent flow to it.
WAFB What is Blue Magic? Millard Was doing it

According to BRPD spokesperson L’Jean McKneely, Millard allegedly overdosed on a drug called “blue magic”.
“It was blue magic, but it had some form of fentanyl in it. So, we believe the fentanyl was administered or the partaking in the drug activity. There is some mention of possibly giving some Narcan,” said McKneely.
Questions around the drug left some people wondering what is “blue magic” and others asking how dangerous is it?
Popularized in the 1970's and 80's, blue magic is considered one of the purest forms of heroin, and when mixed with a chemical, it turns into a shade of blue.
According to one advocate, blue magic is not something they have seen much of in Baton Rouge.
“When we say blue magic, I go back to the 70's. That was something that was in songs and people talked about a lot. It’s the most purest heroine that you can probably buy,” said Tonja Myles, an addiction and substance abuse counselor.
Despite the drug not being on their radar, Myles says the people she work with are always watching for what could be the next big problem.”We’re always asking people when we’re on the street, what’s your DOC (drug of choice)? Tell us what’s going on, tell us what you’re seeing,” Myles said.

They make a killer cajun turkey poboy.
Can confirm. Also it was a great place to buy booze if you were in-between the ages of 15 and 18 (at the time 21 now).

So this ratchet crew that was with Millard administered Narcan to Millard when he OD’ed in their presence, according to McKneely?
It sounds like BRPD is trying to find out who gave Millard the bad H, and further charges may be filed.

I wonder if the blue Camry was up to date on inspection sticker. And how often are inspection sticker checkpoints setup in The Bottoms?

Prostitutes on Florida, around the Greyhound bus station? My God, if true, Millard was in some serious, serious danger. Scary shite to think about.
His heroin addiction is 50 times more dangerous than even the meanest streets of baton rouge can dish out, as events have shown.
Also i ain't believing he was only a drinker that he just decide to wild out on drugs for the first time and ended up in an abandoned house in the bottom shooting blue magic with "stanka". Thats not how this works.

The AM Mart he went to is on Highland. Not far from the police station. You can see crackheads hanging out in the parking lot pretty much any time of the day. This is right down the street from the crackhouse where he OD’d which is right around the corner from WBRZ.
He did not go to the AM Food Store/American Market on Lee & Nicholson that has the cajun turkey poboy.

You know what would probably make a person stupid enough to get pulled into all of that shite: getting ruffied at the Penthouse.
(I’m only here for the downvotes)
Clearly you had a bad and traumatic experience after getting roofied at a titty bar. Would you care to share with the group sometimes it makes you feel better?
In the 1993 to 1995 (when they quit making real Rohypnol) era i got ruffied all over town ... by myself!

The real question is are people really that naive (and I'm being nice with that word) to not know what they mean when they say no foul play? good grief people use a dictionary.
I agree with this, but at the same time was BRPD really so Naive as to think that people with an agenda, and bored true crime moms, weren't going to flip out on this. "Body wrapped in plastic and a rug dump, police say no foul play?!?!?!" is a great click bait headline that was used, very predictably, all over the country.
Great job by the detectives and cops at BRPD, but as per usual very poor job by their PR people (remember the 'just go a different way" statement right after the Allie Rice thing?)

It's not hard at all to comprehend and is more than evident that they have nothing. Let's just throw our hands up and the hell with it, or we could ask why don't they have anything? We all know that "the streets" know who the hell did it!
You are aware that base on the law you can't convict or even arrest on this right? Even if you had someone giving you good info the chances of them actually showing up to court are remote.

The prostitute Lil Bit was from Atlanta. NO telling, her and Nate probably knew each other from there and he hit her up after he walked out of Happy's. No one from another state just decides to fall off of the wagon and goes looking for hookers and drugs late at night in a strange city and on a Wed night at that. His wife said he's never been here before but apparently she didn't know her husband all that well and he had been here before because he knew exactly what he was doing. He told the security guard he wanted something to make him feel better and a girl to take back to his room (if that is even true), the dude had a death wish.
