South BR crash related to Nathan Millard case, officials say
BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A driver fleeing from police crashed into another vehicle Tuesday afternoon, March 21, sending both drivers to a hospital with minor injuries.
Detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department say they were working in a neighborhood Tuesday, trying to gain more information on the Nathan Millard case. In particular, they were seeking more information about possible prostitution in the area.
As they walked up to a house early Tuesday afternoon, detectives said a man in a nearby white car quickly took off.
That man ran a stop sign and crashed into an unrelated vehicle at the corner of Terrace and Napoleon, police say.
Police were not yet chasing after the man as he had just taken off when the crash happened. He was transported to the hospital along with the female driver of the other car.
Both had minor injuries.

Same here. I was expecting a chick that would do anything for $5. She could probably get $20.

Yes it will. His profile pic isn't hard to miss. Looks just like his pic on the news. Just be warned that photos further down you will never be able to unsee.

Even my little google maps guy was scared to go down that street!
They'd have to give me a bullet proof Google car and hazard pay to map out some of the hoods in NBR

I’ve seen this pic posted twice now. I propose making it a bannable offense to post it any more.

I have not trusted most of Kiran's reporting for a few months now, although I know most people in BR think she is golden so I am in the minority on that one. I started doubting her based on the Allie Rice case because it seemed much of her reporting was all over the place. This time around it is pretty apparent that information in her video special was incorrect including regarding the missing prostitute, as police spoke with her so she is clearly not missing. It also appears that police have been investigating this matter in the background the entire time. It takes weeks to subpoena and obtain cell phone evidence, which they did do and spoke to numerous witnesses, and they located the suspect and arrested him. It is also apparent Nathan's wife was not being completely forthright with Nathan's issues and projecting to the media that Baton Rouge and its police dept. are a menace to society and somehow it is Baton Rouge's fault for her husband's unfortunate demise, (although I can understand that she is likely in denial because the truth would be difficult to face for any wife/mother). I personally feel that Kiran has been feeding into his wife's narrative in her reporting on this matter because it fits into her own personal agenda against the police as it is well known that there is a personal conflict between the dept. and Kiran. I would just rather be given information that is unbiased and gets to the truth, instead of what is being thrown out there in order to fit into a certain narrative based on a reporter's personal agenda. Putting out incorrect and/or biased information only creates more confusion and chaos. Facebook detectives are now all over posting about "what happened to the missing prostitute" and "nathan thought he was being followed and that thought he may get mugged". I am definitely aware that BR has its issues and that BR police has its issues, but this is NOT one of those issues. I am no regular advocate for the police, but The only mistake BRPD made was making a statement that "no foul play" is suspected because many people in BR do not have the intelligence to know that they are meaning that there is no evidence that he was in fact murdered.

Cops don't even like going to Mall City. Baton Rouge, even SBR has become a crime ridden chit hole.

Kiran's "sources" were not that reliable and the part about him being found in his underwear was Kiran herself who leaked that info to other media outside local media. The interview she did with his wife the first time was scripted and it made Kiran seem salty against the PD and made his girlfriend (because she is not his legal wife) seem liked she was itching to sue another dept. She knew darn well that he had relapses before this trip and even his best friend knew that Nate would get sloppy stupid when he drank. Who cares that he wasn't a mean drunk or angry drunk, his kind of drunk was the worse kind and i'm sure his gf wasn't happy with him looking for hookers and drugs and it seems he has been able to pull his secrets off because his friends and family was blind to his demons. He wasn't this sweet angelic boy that fb is making him out to be. He knew what he was doing and didn't care about his young daughter at home. I think he threw his wallet without his license on purpose and just kept his license and debit. But Kiran needs to get her facts straight before airing wrong info so quickly

This would shut down the pipeline from China to the US and Mexico significantly. ________________________________________ quote: WTF you smokin' baw ? Ain't nothing gonna stop the drug problems in America; even threats of the death penalty. 100 people get convicted and sentenced to death, 100 more drug dealers are waiting to take their place. History has proven that once a drug is significantly "shut down", street dealers and chemists will create another illegal narcotic to push upon the users. IMO, the best drug prevention is drug education regardless of someone's age. Addicts and recreational users don't fear OD'ing because they think "it will never happen to me". NM knew exactly what he was doing and paid the ultimate price.
Capital punishment in China is a legal penalty.
It is commonly applied for murder and drug trafficking, although it is also a legal penalty for various other offenses.
Executions are carried out by lethal injection or by shooting.
That`s a fact and another fact is that China does not have a drug problem.
So it`s another fact that it works.
There are also other countries with similar consequences and they do not have a drug problem.
There also needs to be much stiffer penalties for simple possession.
Fk educating people on drugs and codling them, all they need to know is if you are caught possessing drugs you will spend a long time in prison and if you are caught dealing drugs you will be executed.

China’s drug use has been dropping thanks to its extensive drug prevention education and the Campaign "Care for Drug Users". Take a look at the countries that have death penalty for drug offenses. Is that a list you are proud to be apart of?
Portugal overdoses have plummeted in the 20+ years since decriminalizing. Between 2008 and 2019, Portugal’s annual drug overdose deaths ranged from 10-72 per year. I am not advocating for legalization of all drugs, but it has proven effective for them.
America’s insatiable appetite for drugs will not end with harsher punishments, it will just result in a massive increase in prisons because you will have to lock up millions of people.
I don’t have the answer to the drug problem (other than to fight it with monetary policies that are really unworkable), but the death penalty isn’t it.

I had hope for Kiran. I thought she could be a true challenger to the traditional BR media, but she has fizzled out hard. Her articles are horribly written and 95% of what she covers is the same shite as every other outlet.
I’ll likely be unfollowing her soon. The boomer-style reporting has gotten old.
