I honestly just don't feel anything during the holidays anymore. I'm not any more happy or sad than I normally am. Maybe it will change if/when I have kids but it just seems like another day to me.

Not yet.
My mom & dad will both be here for Christmas Day. My inlaw's are on a luxury vaction this year so it will be a bit more subdued with out their New Orleans, umm flair?
Kids will be here with various friends. Plenty of booze, music & laughter. Usually have one or three lost souls to brighten their day.
So no melancholia here. Just good family times.

This is so true. My youngest is 3 and I hope she believes in Santa forever. I didn't know it at the time, but my dad had a pretty crappy childhood, and looking back I can see how much Christmas meant to him just to watch us. I think I like it more now as a parent. I wish that one day for MottLane.

Man, I am sorry to hear about your situation. I think we remember how exciting Christmas use to be as a kid and as we get older we get further and further away from that time and it just becomes another day of the year. Right after halloween the Christmas commercials start, Christmas decorations start going up before Thanksgiving, etc and now.. By the time it gets here you just want it to be over.

I lost a parent and another family member a few months apart this year, so Christmas will be tough this year.
