Yep. Or heaven forbid you do anything out of the ordinary data wise.
Comcast is watching.. and billing... You.

but U-verse just couldn't provide decent internet service to my address. I couldn't stand the constant buffering, and I would barely get standard resolution....if I were lucky.
That's crazy how different service can be depending where you are. I just got Uverse at my new house, and it's blazing fast. Didn't even get the top tier one either, just the middle.

Comcast data usage billing tactics is bizarre.
It's literally a black hole. Is impossible for you to track even trying to get your router to do it.
Eta I've tried and it's an impossible task.

Now this is a thread I can get behind, CAD.
I hate Comcast with a passion. Will never forgive those lying sacks of shite and hope I will never have to deal with them again. Glad EPB is an option where I live now, only thing better would be google fiber and I am not sure if that is even true, but it is slightly cheaper.

I'd still rather pay the $40/month in overages than $130/month for satellite TV

What are yall paying a month? With Uverse, I'm locked in at $160 for 2 years for the biggest TV package they have, fast internet, and a landline.

I have the cheapest dish package that includes HD and ESPN and that weighs in at over $50/mo.

I've never had any overages and I stream Netflix and coke & popcorn constantly
So what on earth are you doing? I've had comcast for two years and have never had a complaint about them
Nm. I see

I was paying $130/month for DTV, that was after all the specials had expired
I pay $50/month for internet
so it was %180 total

Our promo has I think $50 in discounts. It's just worth it to me to have all the channels there for me to watch live and not have to worry about data caps or things like that.

I doubt we will go over, 90% of the time we just have Pandora on the TV for background noise

I have U200 with HD and 18 MBps down. No phone. It's right around $100 for one year.
I am having issues with my gateway...the damn thing keeps am restarting and I lose TV and internet for about 30 seconds about a dozen times a day.
I will say this about Comcast, they're the devil but they're product is freaking solid. Never had a single outage. They're great as long as you don't have to talk to anyone or have a billing issue. Unlike Charter which just sucks all around. Terrible customer service and constant outages.
I like Uverse but the intermittent outages are irritating me. My tech can't figure out what the issue is. I've switch gateways and nothing. I'm trying to stick it out because a.) I really like the product when it works and b.) my alternative is DirectTV and Charter for internet...frick Charter.

Speaking of which.. Fur anyone who does this with Google music on best quality setting you'll burn about 500mb/hr
Do the math.. You are at 7gb in a week just listening for 2 hours a day. Pandora uses way way less data.

If you use a roku box or other streaming device, just make sure no one leaves a stream running and goes to another output. My kids were killing is with this, they'd leave something streaming all day on the roku while they play the wii or turn the tv off and play outside.

$70 a month for gig up/gig down. HDTV antenna in the attic hooked up to the cable system in my house. I also pay for Amazon Prime and Netflix streaming. I gave my father in law access to my prime account and he gave me access to his charter account for HBO Go, ESPN, and some other channels my wife watches through Rokus and AppleTVs. Wife works from home and they pay half our internet bill. So really $35 plus Amazon/Netflix.

Yep. Welcome to the world of made up data caps where god help you if someone hacks your WiFi or some days hungry service on your network goes rogue.

Jesus Christ is this real? That's between 20-30 Mb per track. Is any video coming with that?
