I think "Chrislam" is coming, a one world religion that is part Christian and part Islam. People will think that will build peace but as you put it, it will only result in world death and destruction.

Whichever civilization is "on top" at the time. It's all a teaching parable. There is not actual truth to it.

I think you're mixing pre-advent, post-advent (time of the beast) and post beast (events leading to millennial reign).

Really the only pre-requisite for the beast is rapture (if you believe that), Israel reunited (1948) and spreading of gospel to every area (I'd argue N. Korea still doesn't have access).

That's it.

I don't think that's the Catholic Church. The only ones I see doing that today and for a long time has been Islam.

Totally agree.

A muslim doctor's family lives in our neighborhood. They drive a Honda Odyssey (because they have like 6 kids). On the back of that Honda Odyssey is a bumper sticker that says: Jesus in the Quran. To learn more visit (and it lists a website).

For some reason it somewhat pisses me off. Is this Islamic family trying to take ownership of Christ in a very dominant Christian area, lecturing to Christians about Christ? Or are they attempting to embrace the similarities (versus differences) between Islam and Christianity by using Christ as the bridge?

I don't know...but I don't trust their motives.

I don't know. The us is allowing the slaughter of saints worldwide right now. We are arming the Islamists and turning a deaf ear to their rape and pillage of Christians.

Each day that goes by I become more concerned the "Whore" is in fact the United States...

Huh? This thread hasn't flamed the board. It's been civil discussion the entire time!

Flaming the board and you perceiving to be flamed are two completely different things, baw! I can't help if your false perception is...well...false.

The Whore of Babylon is symbolism for false religion or those who preach false gospel.

The beast she sits on is oppressive and controlling civil government.

They both fight against christianity. They also fight with each other.

The first time I read it, I thought it was the United States and still do. We could have a very good discussion about this if we could eliminate the non believers from the conversation.

I agree. Your neighbors are probably ok, but just misguided, but I don't trust the source of that whole movement.

It's certainly possible it could be the U.S. We are a country of money, sex and put material items above almost everything. Plus, religion is no longer important to most Americans. I mean, most complain about having to spend more than an hour in church (if they even go).
