I have seen too many cars recently use the turning lane to accelerate to traffic speed, when they are supposed to wait, cross oncoming traffic, and be in either right lane to then accelerate to traffic speed.

You mean a center turning lane for both traffic directions I assume? That's a pet peeve of mine as well. I hate motherfrickers using it as a merge lane, I'm just waiting for a head on collision to occur.

My driving skills are the shite, and I would never do that because it comes across as dangerous--not in the most people couldn't pull off a stunt like this dangerous, but one day you're completely randomly going to be in a head-on if you keep doing this dangerous.

I do. frick you and your bitch arse driving habits. I use the shite outtta the turn lane on Perkins as an acceleration lane. It's common practice on our stretch of shitty BR infrastructure b/c we understand it's poor planning, not the drivers' fault. Nobody had a problem with it, until now. Puss.

Meet me at the Winn-Dixie, not Sonic, cuz I'ma smash an egg on your face when I'm done smashing them cakes.

No, and I don't let people merge when they do it.

I'll use it but won't accelerate in it.

The best argument one could make in opposition to universal suffrage is to simply point to public transportation and observation of people on the road. Nothing makes me hate people more than driving.

All you bastiges whining about this are probably the same ones who complain about people driving the speed limit in the left lane.

If I am on Siegen Lane between Airline and Industriplex, I am not sitting for 5+ minutes waiting for traffic to clear. If I see a hole I am hitting it. Otherwise I may never get home.

Anything can be a merging lane if you have enough imagination.

I swear this is a southern thing. I never noticed anyone doing it up north but it's common practice in Nashville

While we're fricking around in here, I would like to point out a MAJOR jimmy rustler for me. For real. In countless other cities we see better infrastructure, synced lights, etc.

I get that we're way behind... but how in THE frick are we allowing CATS busses to come to a dead stop in the right lane on Perkins in the middle of rush hour at EIGHT different stops on a 6 mile stretch from Trader Joes to Calandros.
Other cities have bus 'duck offs'/landing pads/lanes to pull into for stops. We have jack shite except more clusterfrickery b/c of our busses carrying 8 people.

Do you know how fricking long you'd have to wait to turn left onto Jefferson during rush hour traffic if you couldn't use the center turn lane?

It really isn't that difficult to judge whether or not someone is about to use the lane to turn left off of the road. If it is open and you need to get across, use it, then wait for an opening to merge into the leftbound traffic.
