See. The model is just assumed and then the theories are based on it. But there's no proof of the model. None. Why don't the ships change height? Why can you see past the curve? Why is the horizon still flat from an airplane? Why are total lunar eclipses still visible even if the sun is on the same side of earth?

I mean really it should be easy to prove. But it's not. Isn't that a problem?

For God's sake WHY is NASA photoshopping? Why aren't they just taking real pictures?

Someone please prove it and shut us up. It's so obvious to everyone and yet it can't be easily proven and you're a crazy loon if you don't believe it, and we should censor any opposition to it across social media? Does this not ring any bells? Why would "science" need to act like this?

Just prove it. It should be easy. Take the picture, NASA. Show the curve, Nikon. It doesn't.

Here's a link to a pilot talking about flat earth. I'm not sure if I've listened to this one but there are many and they claim the belief is fairly widespread. Just follow the videos and dispute the pilots LINK

You have to follow the channel videos and hope to find other channels. You will not get any of this searching, they have censored it all.

Sorry I'll explain. At least twice in this thread the "around the world" joke has been made at me. But "around" is used to be mean among. You can have tools around the shed, have dandelions around the yard, neighbors around the neighborhood, stupid liberals around the country. It doesn't mean they're globes or round. No one ever thought that at all.

But it's used in mockery. When there's not actually a joke there. That's not what around means when referring to any place, it never did. So this perfectly illustrates the lack of critical thinking and sheep group conformity of globies, or Gloebbels. They don't think, they act out their group dynamics. Someone saying "good one" and feeling smart in the group overpowered their common sense and critical thinking. Laugh and updoot on command even though they've heard the joke before.

Why is it the Wikipedia anti-flat earth page is full of straw mans and spends an inordinately huge amount of the article belittling believers? It even cites a documentary over and over. Now don't you think a filmmaker is gonna find the most ridiculous people possible to make the most entertaining film? How in the frick does it matter that much what sort of awful social, mental, deficiencies flat earthers must have? How is that pertinent to the scientific theory? Can you not see the agenda? Why is YouTube and TikTok censoring the hell out of it?

The only reason I ask is literally the Wikipedia page is what made me look into it. I wanted to call flat earthers idiots like you guys. It was so shoddy, unconvincing, dishonest, and ad hominem.

Here's a link to one of the top results a NASA scientist with their official debunking flat earth video.

0a. Immediately makes a point to say "it's not ok" to believe flat earth. That's how she starts. What is the point of this? The first thing is to let you know you're a bad person.

0b. "It"s been known for thousands of years" There are many flat earth maps from the 1800s. That is a new narrative that anyone over 35 can attest to. Why did they previously teach that in the middle ages flat earth was widely believed and Columbus proved them wrong?

1. "Proof" 1/3 she says ships disappear over the horizon and the mast gets lower and lower. But that's not true, the mast stays at the same height while the bottom becomes distorted.

2. "Proof" 2/3 Eratosthenes. The sunlight went straight down a well in the tropics but not at the same time in another city. This assumes the sun has parallel, nonconverging rays which it doesn't and how the frick did an ancient Greek prove this in two distant cities at the same time without telecommunications? How do we know the wells were perfectly straight? He "measured the angle of the sun"? What is he proving? The sun is in two different places relative to two positions? How does this prove round earth? "At any time of day the sun is at different angles at different places around the earth. That wouldn't happen if earth weren't round." Strawman. Yes it would. Every flat earth model accounts for this.

3. "Proof" 3/3. Lunar eclipse is earth's shadow. Except it's not, eclipses happen when the sun is on the same side of earth as the moon. "Only a perfect sphere could cast a perfectly round shadow from any angle" Completely wrong, proveably wrong. Especially when the only surface upon which to cast a shadow is itself perfectly round. And again there is no proof it's the Earth's shadow.

3b. Extraneous bonus point. Everything you look at appears to spin and move so we must be too. Like, totally man it would be totally arrogant to believe it all revolves around us. That's basically her point. It's not really a point. It's a little snipe of [anti]religious indoctrination. You should do experiments and then draw conclusions. That would be scientific. Her proofs all sucked. She clearly drew the conclusions first.

Why are the official NASA scientist anti flat earth videos so flawed?

updoot

Were all of you given a pamphlet with this stupid fricking word? Is it included with the other buzzwords? You know......the only people I have ever seen use Reddit jargon like "updoot" are people who profess to hate it. I swear, it doesn't matter the topic, some of you frickers seem completely programmed. You use the same buzzwords, the same phrasing, the same talking points. Whether it is the obviously flat Earth or a war in Ukraine it is the same damn script, time after time fricking endlessly. It is tiring, but it is a red flag that says a whole lot.

Carry on trying to talk some sense into these heathens, but please shut the hell up with the "updoot" bullshite. You sound like a bigger idiot than you actually are.

Look at all the arguments torn to pieces. Eclipses, done. Phases of Venus, done. Coriolis effect, done. Ships disappearing over the horizons, done. Seeing the curvature from up high, done. Radar limited distance, done. NASA photos, done. And we just keep coming back with more and more arguments and somehow calling me a crazy idiot. Could any of you argue these points? Obviously not, you bought them in the first place. Meanwhile I keep saying for people to look into it themselves.
Might as well wrap it up at this point. It was an impressive effort (30+ pages ) but no one can keep it going forever. Except Walt. And you don't want to be like Walt.

Buddy I just said updoot. I don't use any same phrases. I do hate Reddit. I can't have any memes? There's not another forum where everyone sounds like me just because I used the updoot meme.

Taking a postmodern take on an argument doesn't defeat the argument. It's a good tactic. Instead of facing the argument, you just make an anti gun control bingo for example or generally spread the idea that "people who say this are like this". It doesn't matter if the argument on the bingo spots are valid, people who make that argument are funny and cliche! If you like basketball you wear cargo shorts. What the frick ever it can be. So then it's not about the argument, it's about the people. It's a good way to avoid the argument. This is what happens, you keep saying things but no one listens and then you become some postmodern type of person who says those things. It's about you now. Now they don't even have to listen.

Buzz Aldrin corrects Conan O'Brien and tells him he didn't see them walk on the moon, it was animation, there were no tvs or cameras, you just associated what you saw, you just heard his voice and Armstrong's voice. First minute.

Moon rock donated to Dutch museum personally by Armstrong and Aldrin turns out be fake. Petrified wood.

quote:

The rock was given to Willem Drees, a former Dutch leader, during a global tour by Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin following their moon mission 50 years ago.

telegraph.co.uk

Been 13 years. NASA hasn't given any explanation

Moon rocks are disappearing on earth, can't track em down, increasingly museums hide them and give them away.

quote:

Attention, countries of the world: Do you know where your moon rocks are?

The discovery of a fake moon rock in the Netherlands' national museum should be a wake-up call for more than 130 countries that received gifts of lunar rubble from both the Apollo 11 flight in 1969 and Apollo 17 three years later.

Nearly 270 rocks scooped up by U.S. astronauts were given to foreign countries by the Nixon administration. But according to experts and research by The Associated Press, the whereabouts of some of the small rocks are unknown.

"There is no doubt in my mind that many moon rocks are lost or stolen and now sitting in private collections,"
