Maybe go investigate and get prepared to prove me wrong so you can do it honestly? I would love for you to do that. That's what I did.

Do they adjust for curvature? At 1000m there is about a foot of downward curvature according to the geometry. At 3000m almost 3 feet.

Just explain how in the picture that was posted in the link to supposedly prove round earth actually shows the masts of the ship at the same height off the water line. The argument was the curve of the earth obscured the ship but it's obvious it didn't and only distorted it. So explain why that happens, why doesn't the curve just cover it like they say it should? Why is round earth still valid from that perspective? The argument is clearly wrong. This was the test of round earth. It was wrong. So how is earth still round based on that reasoning? Why is this clearly faulty argument being promoted?

What's the name of this model (map projection) you refer to, in particular for trans Atlantic or Pacific flights?

Or just one giant swirl, right? Take one of those swirls, center it over the flat map. The top is generally going one direction and the bottom the other. Plausible right?

I’m convinced you’re a troll at this point. If the ship were to sail away from the observer, it would completely disappear from view. There’s your stupid proof. You don’t even need trig.

From the bottom up, through slow distortion as the height never changes until it finally disappears. You can go to the beach and check this or find the videos.

How come every single picture of the Earth I look at is flat? Every one of em, every single pic either in a book, on tv, or on the interwebs is flat.

Wrong.

For long distance flights the fundamental "model" or geoid is WGS-84.

You can look it up and the reasons why.
