Jaguar’s Paw showed that a cool head and smart thinking will always win out against quick sand. I honestly can’t remember another movie that had quicksand in it since and Apocalypto came out almost 20 years ago.

I sailed thru the Bermuda Triangle on a Friday the thirteenth and lived to tell the tale.

Satanists doing sacrifices in every small patch of woods
I walked into a food plot at an old hunting camp a few weeks before deer season started to kill wasps I knew would be inside of the box stand, and the field had been used for a satanic ceremony.
Almost every pine tree around the plot had been spray painted with a pentagram and other symbols, there were hundreds of pages of porno magazines that were torn up and had blown everywhere, and there had been a fire that had the charred bones of what was pretty obviously a dog in the middle.
True story.

It’s been overshadowed by the Fiji Dodecagon. Much deadlier region of water.

I have spent some time on charter fishing boats in Bermuda with Bermudian crew. I have heard one consistent story about the Bermuda Triangle from them.
Before radar was a thing, people would wait to set off from Bermuda to travel across the ocean on days with clear weather. Before major storms, there is often picturesque weather. So unknowingly, they often set off directly into their own demise.
An uninteresting, but sensical explanation.

Acid rain was very real, it was a byproduct of the fuel used at the time and the smog that covered cities. When fuel and emissions (sulfur and nitrogen dioxides) were cleaned up the problem was eliminated for the most part.

Really though I would've stopped, dropped, and rolled a lot more frequently throughout my life.

I remember when the Bermuda Triangle vortex sucked Elvis and his Cadillac in and he was never heard from again back in 1977. Until they found it on the moon. Of course Elvis never made a reappearance. Coincidence? I think not.
