And yet life expectancy in the US is ranked somewhere between 30th and 50th if I remember correctly.
Its roughly 80 years for both sexes, about two whole years behind the leader at 82.

The problem is "we" subsidize the worst foods.
This is true. Sedentary lifestyles are also a factor
Portion sizes have grown immensely over the years too.

Speaking of health care costs, we live too damned long, anyway. What is the quality of life for the typical 75+ year old person? Personally, I hope that I don't live that long.

The only real addiction I've ever dealt with in life is my addiction to sugar. I must have at least one sweet food item a day.
One? You call that an addiction?

I have a great uncle that is 93 and still drives a van around America. Got remarried at 77 until she became too feeble for his lifestyle. Put her in an assisted living facility for five years until she died while he continued living his freestyle life.
I’m hoping I got his genes.

Nice. This will get some bites from both sides.

Norman Vaughn climbed 10,000' mountains at 88. It all depends on genetics and health.

I hate everything about you. Does the government need to tell me how to live my life? Frick no. D bag.

That wasn't a troll. In fact, I'd argue sugar is an infinitely bigger public health risk than marijuana ever could be.
This isn't necessarily directed to you, but what about sugar doesn't make it a drug? It meets every aspect of a drug IYAM.

Out of all of this, the fact that the government regulates the speed I drive is the most absurd.
Should be some outrageous fee you can pay with your taxes to not have to follow any posted speed regulations.
