Ever since they got rid of the 12/10/8 yr old.. it seemed to have fallen in popularity... in the 90's and 00's it was falling off the shelves at every bar in Louisiana, i believe LA was the biggest buyer of it nation wide... i just dont see as many people drinking it as much these days... what do u former charter drinkers drink now?

I heard the new 8 isnt even aged 8 yrs, which is why it only has an 8 on it vs. (8 yrs old) like the former ones had

You can't find 8 either. You can find 4.

Old Charter was my drink of choice in grade school. Muh grandparents had several half gallons in their outdoor kitchen. Used to have sleepovers there with my buddies, and we would all sit around the pool and get sloshed all night

Was bought by another company. They decreased production due to it being a regional thing. Apparently, it's unheard of outside of La. It was never aged 8 or 10 years unless it was labeled "bottled in bond".

Good ol Charter 10, I remember my dad would always by the 1/2gallon opening weekend of the gun hunt. That was my first taste of the hard stuff.

We knew he was cheating on grandma when he started drinking gin and started wearing tennis shoes instead of cowboy boots.

I'll never forget the night I ordered shots of Goldschlager at Freds and the bartender thought I said Old Charter. That was quite the unexpected surprise
