The meaning of words matters when you’re talking about something as complex as he does with most of the experts he interviews. If he wasn’t as careful as his is, his guests would be too busy qualifying their answers instead of providing a learned person like me with information worth hearing.

His insight is of no matter as long as he can facilitate the insightful to provide the same.

He is clearly autistic and I think that directly plays into his interview style. Dude is over positive about everything, but I think he tends to let his guests do much more of the talking. He doesn’t try to act like he knows the fields he isn’t specialized in.

Bingo. I tune in to hear his guests, not him, which is the way it should be in podcasts. This isn’t the Late Show with Johnny Carson.

The jury is still out on him. I started off really liking him, but he doesn't seem sincere sometimes.

He's a an accomplished techie, he's very smart but I don't expect him to be an expert on things like economics, medicine, mixed martial arts, or art. Most smart people are very niche nowadays. He does ask interesting questions which is what you want from a podcast host and not some opinionated commentator.

He doesn’t need to be smart. I enjoy him as a raging alcoholic and push up machine.

Some people aren’t vocally eloquent.
To the day he died, Thomas Jefferson HATED public speaking. Awkward, semi stutter, etc.
His writings, however, showed a deep intellect that was nearly unmatched in his time.

If anything the pace and tone he speaks in are indicative of being a person of below average intelligence.

The doctor of electrical engineering/computer science that specializes in neural networks and autonomy is accused of being of below average intelligence by esteemed internet poster sabes que.

No, he’s not of below average intelligence.

He is very dry, as is Sam Harris. I think Sam Harris is probably one of the smartest people alive. He asked Sam some interesting questions about free will from the perspective of a computer AI programmer. And also in the same interview chastising himself for asking dumb questions to “freaking Sam Harris”. One thing about Sam Harris is that I can’t ever tell where the podcast is going, or if they are coming to a consensus.

OP obviously hasn't been listening to Lex enough; it's hard to type his name without hearing him say "Lex Fridman, spelled F-R-I-D" when directing people to his social media
