My mother and father seem to be arguing constantly. Whenever I cal them, they seem to be arguing about the silliest stuff and all that jazz. And I know they both secretly sacrifice for each other and to hear them saying such awful stuff to each other that builds resentment over time, I won't fricking put up with it. I lecture them all the time about being adults and not letting petty bullshite get in their way.My sister has the opinion of just ignore it and it's not her business. I don't know if I can do that.

which jazz? ... be-bop? ... cool jazz? ...

seriousness aside, discreetly give both of them your support over the other ... inheritance and all that ...

Tell your mother to read the book, "The 5 Love Languages"...

It'll change the lives of everyone involved.

Thank me later.

I am. And if they didn't include me in ways where I have to "choose sides" I probably would. But instead, I play the role of a fricking counselor a lot of the time I feel like.

Perhaps they enjoy arguing. Why can't you let them enjoy their hobby?

I ain't getting inheritance. They're bad with money. That's one thing I stay out of completely. I might get a family heirloom ring and one or two other things but the rest Has already been spent.

I don't know that there is a lot that you can do to help with the situation....

being around people who are constantly arguing just tires me out...eventually, I just start staying away from it all.

How long have they been together?

However long it is, they're still married in a world full of divorce. Maybe what seems odd to you works for them.

Marital fights often are related to underlying money problems

Do they tell you it's not your fault? Because that means it's totally your fault.

In all seriousness, tell them you won't play the mediator and you won't choose sides. Then excuse yourself when they fight. The rest is on them.

My mom dropped some heavy shite on me and I almost felt that I had to intercede, but I elected not to. Seems that they've worked it out

Would you want them interfering in your relationship if you have one?

30 years. My dad will often come to me and ask "what am I doing wrong to upset her so much," and I know he tries so I feel like I have to fight for him.

Like tonight, I get a call from my mother. She's upset she didn't get a Mother's Day present from him. I pointed out he gets up at 6 AM to make her breakfast and fill up her car every day when he doesn't need to and she should be thankful for that instead of being petty.

And there are money issues but I doubt they are at the forefront.

Punch your mother's fricking mouth out and kick your old man in his crotch.

Why does he put gas in her car every day? Seems like a pointless exercise and not one she should be blow away with gratitude by.

Wanting a Mother's Day gift on Mother's Day is not "petty" at all.
Sounds like your dad needs to step up his game. Even if he doesn't feel like he needs to.

Your dad better figure something out soon or another man will.
