Is it "really" a compliment when men can't last long in bed

I hear women saying all the time that they take it as a compliment when a guy doesn't last very long in bed...but is that really a compliment. I mean they could be thinking of someone else just to hurry and get off you. Or they just have that problem. Does it depend on the age of the guy? Or is it my personal opinion that it's a race to orgasm and some reason some are just way way quicker. I mean it possible they are right but I'm just leaning towards the other options.
